7 ad campaigns that earned the upvote in 2022
This year’s Reddit Recap* showed us that 2022 was another thriving year for community engagement. In the spirit of reflection, we are also taking a look back at standout ad campaigns in 2022.
While we love each of our campaigns equally, we could all learn a thing or two from these activations—and find some inspiration for the year ahead.
noosa Yoghurt (US)
Redditors answer the age-old question of which flavor has the highest lunch trade value
CPG. noosa Yoghurt partnered with Reddit’s KarmaLab to create this back-to-school-themed, low-tech twist on the Engagement Prompt, where users upvoted their favorite yogurt flavor for lunchroom trades. The ad engagement created content for additional Promoted Posts and had some of the best CPG brand lift results our Measurement team has ever seen.
Reddit communities source custom, Pokémon-themed electric vehicle design ideas for MINI
Automotive. This Carousel Engagement Prompt truly engaged EMEA Redditors, driving +1,600 comments, 35 awards, and meaningful conversations between the brand and Redditors, particularly Pokémon fans, gamers, and auto enthusiasts.
Belvedere Museum (UK)
Old world meets new (and NFTs, too)! A small business with a big idea thrives on Reddit
Media & Entertainment. A World Heritage site and… NFT innovator? Belvedere’s Reddit campaign around their NFT project for Klimt’s The Kiss drove epic performance numbers, with 36% of all traffic originating on Reddit.
Adobe goes native with fun, friendly, community-inspired ads that fit right in on Reddit
Tech. Adobe has set the standard—and helped create some of our best practices—for creative, Reddit-y takes on the Promoted Post. Their campaigns lean into what makes Reddit unique, with humor, authenticity, and a genuine, demonstrated appreciation for many of our quirkier and more creative subreddits.

Finance. Discover Financial Services partnered with dentsu X/360i, TBWA\Chiat\Day, and their Reddit team to craft ads specifically tuned to the Reddit audience. Their Reddit-specific ads deployed a healthy shot of humor and demonstrated the brand’s knowledge of Reddit, delivering huge results.

Retail. Pairing an expert-led AMA with thoughtfully timed Promoted Videos went the distance for adidas and agency Mediacom, lifting the 4DFWD to new heights among Reddit’s runners.
Reddit-inspired copy edits turn up the fun and efficiency for Adrenaline’s existing creative
Travel. Action, adventure, adrenaline! Adrenaline’s campaign reminded Redditors down under that there’s a whole, exciting world outside their door. By integrating our best practices into their ad headlines, Adrenaline’s Reddit campaign delivered lower CPCs than all of Adrenaline's other social channels during the same period.
