3 of our most impactful best practices for helping your brand stand out this travel season

Here are some best practices from Reddit’s KarmaLab to help your travel brand stand out in Reddit’s travel communities:

1. Be clear about your travel offerings.

Users have plenty of options when it comes to where they go, how they get there, and where to stay once they arrive. This is your chance to make their choice as easy as possible.

Let them know why they should take you along for their next journey:

  • What services or amenities set you apart from your competition?
  • Are you more competitive on airfare, rates or routes?
  • Do you offer more comfort, onboard perks or better travel rewards?
  • Who is the right audience for your brand (parents, adventurers, etc.) and how can they take advantage of what you have to offer?
2. Let travelers know how you add value to their journey.

Sure, travel is exciting. But it can also still be a stressful experience, From choosing a destination to packing and the security line. Even figuring out what to do once you arrive.

Think about ways your brand can help ease some of those inevitable challenges.

  • Can you offer an interesting package or simple booking? Reviews from real passengers?
  • Content to read or watch on the way?
  • How about an interesting or unexpected itinerary for a popular destination?

The more ways you can help Redditors enjoy the trip, the more likely they’ll be to take it with you.

3. Speak the Reddit language.

Don’t want to feel like a tourist on Reddit? Speak the local language and understand how users in your target audience interact.

Draw comparisons between your travel rewards system and Reddit Karma. Showcase some r/CozyPlaces around the world, or good old fashioned r/Earthporn to get people ready to explore all the beauty you have to offer. Or simply share some r/TodayILearned factoids about a city, vehicle or culture.

Don’t miss the opportunity to interact with consumers directly during this travel bubble. Redditors want to hear from you.
