The Key to Unlocking Relevant Audiences? Join Us at CES 2024 To Find Out How
Reddit returns to CES 2024 with an all-new event activation, “The Key to Context”, and new research.
Across 16 billion posts and comments, our audience is actively seeking and sharing information that fuels purchase decisions and drives brand loyalty. Throughout this year, we’ve been sharing the ways we’re investing in products and solutions that harness the power of these conversations, and optimize our industry-leading advantage when it comes to contextual and interest-based advertising.
More than a solution to signal loss, context and interest are key to relevance and impact, and as we gear up to return to the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas for another year, we’re excited to announce “The Key to Context”, our event activation that will focus on Reddit’s role in the future of our industry, and why our platform is the key to unlocking the right customers at the right time.
The Key to Context – Reddit at CES 2024
Following our inaugural presence at CES in 2023, which welcomed nearly 500 guests through the door, Reddit is heading back to Vegas with our biggest activation yet. This time, we’re bringing to life the hundreds of thousands of conversations that happen within Reddit communities every day, in an immersive experience that will highlight the combined power of search and community to create contextually relevant opportunities for brands.
“In a privacy-first world, the most effective way to drive performance is through the context of conversation and interests. The richness of discussion that takes place on Reddit is unmatched anywhere else because it’s organized around the things people care about most,” said Reddit EVP of Business Marketing and Growth, Jim Squires. “Our latest activation at CES will immerse marketers in the unique fabric of our platform and arm them with the tools and inspiration to effectively reach people in relevant environments, right when they are evaluating purchase decisions.”
Our CES 2024 event space invites marketers to step into the shoes of a redditor as they explore shared interests, conversations, and recommendation journeys. Here’s a look at what to expect:
- You are your interests: Across three stunning interactive installations, we will bring to life the varied interests of a typical Reddit user and demonstrate the immense opportunity to reach, connect with and influence people when we look beyond demographic data. Guests can discover how redditors navigate conversations and the rich contextual environment created through these discussions.
- A typical recommendation journey: Through the lens of a Reddit user, guests will follow an interactive recommendation journey to understand how an initial question, idea or passion can lead to a well-informed, satisfied purchase decision across a range of product categories.
- Unlocking the opportunity for brands: Using their very own key handed out on arrival, guests will “unlock” each installation to discover in real-time how brands can find, enter and enhance these conversations through Reddit’s full-funnel ad solutions. Cross-category examples will showcase how advertisers can get their products in front of audiences as they are engaging in relevant discussion about a product or service, and are therefore primed to learn more.
Online Community as the Ultimate Influencer
Online community has emerged as one of the most influential drivers of purchase decisions. Every day, we see this play out on Reddit as real people with real experience (and no commercial incentive) flock to our platform to share nuanced details about the products they love as others seek to find what they’re looking for. Not only are Reddit communities natural influencers, with 75% of our users more likely to “consider a new brand or product” when they see it on Reddit, our communities are also integral to the marketing mix.
We first launched our Reddit Recommends program earlier this year at Cannes to educate advertisers on the role of recommendations on purchase decisions. To support our activation at CES 2024, we’re releasing our second wave of research focused on the recommendation journeys on Reddit. The report will explore the role of recommendations in building trust throughout the purchase path, and break down specific journeys by product category – from consumer tech, to beauty, to auto – with insights into the anatomy of recommendations on Reddit.
